With three years of Burns Registry of Australia and New Zealand (BRANZ) data now available the ANZBA Burns Quality Improvement Program (BQIP) was developed in 2013 to assist Australian and New Zealand burn services to drive local quality improvement initiatives.
BQIP is currently developing approaches to risk adjusted benchmarking of burn care processes and outcomes using the key quality indicators and outcomes data available within the BRANZ.
In addition to improving patient care outcomes, BQIP will assist burns clinicians in developing best practice clinical guidelines and initiatives and stimulating word-class burns care and prevention research.
