The Burns Registry of Australia and New Zealand is a bi-national clinical quality registry capturing epidemiological, quality of care, and outcome data for paediatric and adult burn patients across Australian and New Zealand burn services.
The purpose of the BRANZ is to monitor burn injury incidence, causation, treatment, and in-hospital outcomes using objective and verifiable data to encourage higher standards of both burn injury prevention and patient care. The BRANZ is a collaboration between ANZBA and the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine at Monash University.
The BRANZ dataset is a unique resource for projects, and de-identified data is available upon request, and in compliance with ethics guidelines. For further information on how to access BRANZ data, click here.
Data from the BRANZ have been used by national and international clinicians and researchers in a wide range of peer-reviewed studies. A complete list of these studies can be found here.
The BRANZ also produces a publicly available report each year. These reports focus on the profile, treatment, and in-hospital outcomes of burn admissions. A complete list of these reports, which can be downloaded for free, can be found here.
