We are thrilled to announce that ANZBA member, Associate Professor Zephanie Tyack from the School of Public Health and Social Work and Centre for Healthcare Transformation at QUT has been awarded $992,441 for the project, ‘Ember to Empower': developing and piloting a one-stop burn recovery toolkit for burn survivors.
Professor Tyack and her team will be working on creating a novel recovery toolkit called ‘Ember to Empower’ to provide post-acute support and follow-up processes for burn survivors. The project will be guided by a consumer advisory group of burn survivors from the Australian New Zealand Burn Association (ANZBA), as well as chief investigators Dale Trevor and Charlotte Brown, who are burn survivors themselves.
The project will focus on understanding the experiences, needs, and priorities of burn survivors, co-developing a toolkit with input from survivors and their families, and piloting the toolkit which will include education, resources, links to services, support groups, and research opportunities.
Stay tuned for updates on this groundbreaking project that will make a difference in the lives of burn survivors. #EmberToEmpower #BurnRecoveryToolkit #HealthcareTransformation ???
